Working on the farm has brought so much to my life... a connection to my ancestors, my food and my community. It also provides me with Nourishing Movement ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Over the past few months I’ve been really thinking about exercise... My grandparents never exercised, because they moved all day long. They farmed, carried around children, split wood, walked, gardened... they were in constant motion throughout the day. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Two weeks ago when I attend the Nourishing Vermont conference, I had the chance to hear Katie Bowman @nutritiousmovement speak about exercise vs movement. She way explaining everything that I’ve been thinking about and connected the dots for me. She validated the ideas I had been exploring. “Movement changes our DNA” and we have become a society of very little movement. She pointed out in her talk that we have “outsourced movement” We are no longer reaching, bending and rarely squat- unless doing it as an exercise, but it’s usually done incorrectly. We tend to focus on the area of vanity, flat stomachs, buff biceps, a lifted round booty. But we neglect some of the most important parts of our body, areas like our feet, toes, hands... or to incorporate the whole body.
💪🏻🦶🏻💪🏻🦶🏻💪🏻🦶🏻💪🏻🦶🏻💪🏻 With my shift in the way I think about the way I move my body for health and wellness, I’ve seen great changes in my range of motion, flexibility and endurance... oh and I’m down 10 lbs in 3 weeks. 🧬🧬🧬🧬🧬🧬🧬🧬🧬🧬 How is you Movement Diet?
