Looking for Johannesburg beauty and wellness spots where you can relax, recharge or enjoy a little self-care? From nail bars serving coffee and pastries to men’s grooming lounges and day spas, the city offers plenty of options.
Who says a beauty appointment has to be a quick visit before rushing off to the next errand?
Across Johannesburg, beauty and wellness destinations are offering more than just haircuts, manicures and facials.
Some combine beauty treatments with coffee and pastries, while others offer grooming services, movement classes and spaces to unwind.
As SAPeople recently explored in why little luxuries still matter to South Africans, small treats and everyday comforts can still have a place in our lives, even when budgets are tight.
Whether you’re planning a catch-up with friends, a grooming appointment or some much-needed time for yourself, here are seven Johannesburg beauty and wellness spots to consider.
Nails Dunn Beauty Bar & Café – Parktown North
One of Johannesburg’s newest beauty destinations is bringing nails, coffee, pastries and flowers together under one roof.
Nails Dunn Beauty Bar & Café opened in Parktown North in September 2026 and was founded by Germaine Dunn.
The venue combines nail services with Bite Me Café, where visitors can enjoy freshly prepared pastries and coffee from South African coffee company Bean There.
Also located on the premises is Satori Beauty and Wellness, offering laser hair removal and specialised beauty treatments.
Visitors can even pick up a bunch of fresh flowers before heading home.
The concept allows customers to turn a routine beauty appointment into a longer catch-up with friends or a little time away from a busy schedule.
Where: 55 7th Avenue, Parktown North, Johannesburg.
The Barber Café – Little Falls
Self-care isn’t limited to manicures and facials, and The Barber Café offers men a grooming experience with a difference.
Located at Kwena Square in Little Falls, the venue combines traditional barbering with a coffee shop.
Customers can book haircuts, fades, beard trims, hot-towel shaves and various grooming treatments while enjoying barista coffee.
The venue also offers facials, massages and hand-and-foot treatments, making it an option for those wanting more than a quick haircut.
There’s even a sneaker-cleaning service for customers looking to freshen up their favourite pair of shoes.
Where: Kwena Square, corner of Hendrik Potgieter Road and Johan Road, Little Falls, Roodepoort.
