7-Eleven Singapore launched its new Take Five Spot initiative on Sunday (Aug 23), transforming dine-in spaces at more than 60 stores islandwide into self-care spots for customers.

At these spots, customers can do self-guided breathing exercises, as well as explore mental well-being re

The spaces feature step-by-step guides for two simple breathing exercises: Five Finger Breathing, where customers trace each finger while breathing in and out; and Box Breathing, a steady four-count rhythm of “breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold” to relax and keep calm.

These exercises were chosen for their simplicity and approachability, allowing anyone, regardless of age, to complete them within minutes.

In a statement, Anushree Khosla, managing director of 7-Eleven Singapore, said: “7-Eleven’s community journey began with fundraising and volunteerism with trusted partners. It was important to evolve alongside the challenges our community faces.

“The Take Five Spot expands what convenience can mean in everyday life and incorporates self-care moments into our customers’ time with us. We are proud to lead this effort as Singapore’s largest convenience retailer that’s always near and here for our customers. The early feedback from the Lifestyle understands that there are plans to add more 7-Eleven outlets with dine-in spaces.
